He married Maureen Theresa (Doherty) Blees April 17, 1982. Maureen was born in Bronx, NY June 26, 1952. She is the daughter of Lawrence Eugene Doherty and Madeline (Shaughnessy) Doherty. She married Matthew Thomas Masiello August 3, 1974. Maureen was divorced from Matthew Thomas Masiello 1980.

George William Blees and Maureen Theresa (Doherty) Blees had the following children:

2 i. Jose Lugo² Blees was born March 27, 1981. Individual flags: Adopted. At 13 years of age Jose was adopted February 1, 1995.

3 ii. Jeffrey Ryan Blees was born March 25, 1988. Individual flags: Adopted. Jeffrey was adopted 1994.

4 iii. Lawrence William Blees was born December 10, 1991. Individual flags: Adopted. Lawrence was adopted 1997.
